Zahara Basharah
Zahara Basharah is a 1989 Straight Egyptian, Al Khamsa, Asil mare bred by Zahara Arabian Stud and purchased by Aimbri Arabians in 1994. Her sire, Ramses Maris, is a son of the legacy sire, Shaikh Al Badi, who was a U.S. National Reserve Champion Futurity Stallion and a sire of multiple national champions including the great Ruminaja Ali. Her dam, AK Rahana, was an exquisite bay mare who was exported to the Netherlands in 1992. Zahara Basharah is the only mare of this breeding in North America, which makes her quite special and rare. She possesses size, substance and athletic ability, with an impressive ground-covering trot, while maintaining type, correct conformation and beauty. She is trained under saddle and was shown in Open Shows and parades, and is the horse that non-riders can take for a spin. Her daughter, Aimbri Ansarah (by Assefa Moniet, a Rasmoniet RSI son) is a beautiful mare, trained and shown in Western Pleasure, and has produced 2 exceptional daughters by Moon Sheine. Her son, Aimbri Zahr (by El Matrabb), has been sold as a Competitive Distance Horse to Kentucky. Her son, Aimbri Mystik (by Tammens Sadik)- deceased, was a Western Canadian Breeders Top 5 Stallion.
